Internet access, and in particular, high speed internet access, is necessary to view the on-line modules. However, young and beginning farmers without this capability at their homes or businesses shouldn't be discouraged to participate because of this reason. Many local libraries offer free internet access. Furthermore, several of the program supporters have offered to allow participants to use computers with high speed internet access at local offices.

Please contact Raechel Sattazahn at 800-349-3568 ext. 6016 or rsattazahn@agchoice.com if you are interested in the program but do not have access to high speed internet.

This program is an excellent learning opportunity for current farm owners and operators as well as those that will become part of the farm management or ownership in the near future.

AgBiz Masters is open to young and beginning farmers in Pennsylvania, Maryland, Delaware, Virginia and West Virginia.
  • Beginning farmers have less than 10 years of experience.
  • Young farmers are 35 years old or less.

Who can participate?
Technology needs
AgBiz Masters is  designed to have each of the modules build upon one another. While participants enroll in one year at a time, it is expected that participants will complete both years of the program. Each interactive online module takes approximately one hour to complete and an additional hour should be planned to complete the accompanying questions, exam and discussion forum questions.

To complement the online learning, in-person regional sessions are held to give participants the opportunity to network with one another as well as reinforce key concepts.
